Sauteed Flat Green Beans

Sauteed flat green beans is a low-budget whole-food plant-based recipe. A healthy yet simple, easy, and quick to make. What do you want for more? Come on give it a try as it’s also a fail-proof recipe! You can accompany it with this simple crispy fried tempeh recipe to add proteins nutritions.

  • 250 gr flat green peas (medium length chopped)
  • 1 small golden onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 50 gr cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 10 ml tomato puree/tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tamari sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Heat the oil in a pan, put in the onion, garlic, and dried oregano. Stir well and cook for a few minutes until fragrant then add in the tomatoes. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes and stir it occasionally.
  • Once the tomatoes are soft, put in the flat green peas then add the tomato sauce and tamari sauce. Stir them and cover them for a few minutes until the flat green peas become softer.
  • Lift the cover, add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Turn of the heat, serve hot with hot barley or spelled.
