Tasty SEITAN with bell peppers

Tasty seitan with bell peppers is my “go-to” recipe when I don’t really have much time to cook. It’s an easy way to cook and get to know seitan as meat substitute ingredients. you can enjoy it with any of your favorite cereals.

  • Easy

  • 25 minutes

  • 2-3 people servings

  • For any occasion

  • 200 gr natural taste seitan (cut in medium diced)
  • 2 bell peppers (cut in medium diced)
  • 1 medium golden onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoon dark sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • sesame seeds to sprinkle
  • salt and pepper
  • Heat the oil to Pre-cook the seitan by quick frying them at medium heat in a non-stick pan for about 3-5 minutes then set aside.
  • With the same pan, stir in the onion and garlic, cook them until fragrant, then add the bell peppers. Cook for a few minutes until the bell peppers are softer.
  • Then add the cooked seitan and mix them until well combined.
  • Stir in the tamari, dark sweet soy sauce, and tomato sauce into the pan then mix well with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Add a bit of water not to make it too dry, taste with salt and pepper.
  • Turn of the heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds on top and I combine with millet to serve in this recipe.
