Vegan Chocolate BANANA Bread

I can say that this vegan chocolate banana bread is a foolproof recipe, and I got inspired by Bianca Zapatka (she has created tons of amazing vegan recipes!). It’s so soft and so moist that everybody loves it.

  • Easy

  • 1 hour

  • 3-4 person

  • Breakfast

  • 160 gr spelt flour or oat flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 50 gr nonsweet cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 very ripe large bananas (mashed)
  • 100 ml plant-based milk (I usually use soy or oat)
  • 75 ml neutral oil (canola, olive, etc)
  • 60 gr whole cane sugar (you can add more if you like it sweet)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 30 gr chocolate chips (for toppings)
  • Preheat the oven to 175°C, grease the loaf pan with oil or with parchment paper to avoid the bread sticking.
  • Mix all the dry ingredients in a big bowl. And mix the rest of the wet ingredients with the mashed banana in another bowl, whisk well.
  • Put the wet mix ingredient into the dry mix ingredients until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan then sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  • Put it in the oven for 40 – 50 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool then take it out from the pan and enjoy!
